

Mr. Olin Brown Weaver, 88 of Salisbury went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Born on October 26, 1922 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Peter and Sarah Walter Weaver. Educated in the Rowan County Schools, he was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council and with the Boy Scouts. Mr. Weaver proudly served his country during WWII serving in Patton's Army in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes and Rhineland. He served on the Board of Directors at the Bostian Heights Fire Dept. where he was one of the founding members. Mr. Weaver was part of the nostalgic original white coverall gang there at the fire department. He retired from Cannon Mills after 42 years of sevice. In his spare time he enjoyed repairing clocks and making quilts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Those left to cherish his memories is his wife of 65 years, Arline Safrit Weaver, son Larry Weaver and wife Terry of Woodbridge Va., sister Arlene W. Schenck of Salisbury, special niece and nephew, Lynne and Gary Ramsey of Salisbury. Also surviving him is his granddaughter, Lori W. Fuller and husband Hunter, and great grandchildren, Tyler, Madison and Macon Fuller. Mr. Weaver will be remembered by those who knew him as a caregiver to all and a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend
Visitation will be on Saturday from 10-11 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral at 11 also at the funeral home with Rev. William Ketchie, minister. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
