P. W. Hughes

Paul Daniel Hughes, “P.W.”, 49, of Mocksville, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Davie medical Center in Advance, NC. Born in Rowan County on September 26, 1972, he was the son of the late Judy Diane Shue Hughes. In addition to his mother, Paul was also preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle, Laney Donahue. Paul worked in plumbing and carpentry work and was a batch operator at Harmony Labs. He loved being outdoors, hiking, and fishing and enjoyed raising chickens. He always dreamed of having a farm of his own. He was an avid music lover and a member of New Covenant Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Laura Ann Landro Hughes; aunt, Betty Donahue; cousins, April Donahue, Breanna, Crystal Overcash (Mark), Katie and Nordan. He is further survived by his best friend, Junior Vinson (Anita). The family will speak to friends Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home – The Haven Room. A funeral service will be held in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home at 7:00 PM with Rev. Roger Steadman officiating.
