

Mr. Paul Eugene Karriker, 77 of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday February 16, 2013 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Born on January 4, 1936 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Samuel Sanford and Ethel Atwell Karriker. Mr. Karriker served his country in the Korean War, serving in the US Navy, on the USS Boxer and Bennington. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. His work life was with Bendix Corporation, where he was a supervisor. His hobbies included deer hunting and fishing. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jean Menius Karriker, daughters, Lynn Shuping (Dane) of Salisbury, Sherri Beeker (Nelson) of Lexington and son Michael E. Karriker (Barbara) of Spencer. He is also survived by his sisters Doris Beaver (Tim) of Salisbury and Mary Cody (James) of Iron Station. He also had 8 grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6-8 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral on Monday at 2:00 also at the funeral home with Rev. Fred Archer, minister.
