Phyllis Anne Burgess Greene

A sweet believer gained her wings. Phyllis Anne Burgess Greene, 78 years of age, of Landis, NC, and an over 40-year resident of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on June 11th, 2025, after a long battle against breast cancer. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13:13

Phyllis was an accomplished hair stylist, interior decorator, and beauty queen; and known for her sweet spirit, loving hugs, and being a prayer warrior for many. She enjoyed tea with loved ones and playtime with her grandchildren. A great joy in her life was traveling, exploring more than 37 countries and 39 states with her husband of 60 years and high school sweetheart. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Jerrell Wayne Greene; her two daughters, Kimberly Dell Greene and Krystal Deneen Greene-Diaz; four grandchildren, Tonya, Kendall, Kayla, and Grant; and four great grandchildren, Zachary, Logan, Steffani, and Levi. She is a member of South Rowan class of 1966 and First Reformed Church in Landis, NC, and previously a member at Grace United Methodist in Orlando, FL, and Faith Family Community Church in Winter Garden, FL.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 4pm, with receiving at 3pm, at First Reformed Church, 210 N. Central Avenue, Landis, NC. Phyllis requested colorful attire. To watch live: www.YouTube.com/@frclandis
