Phyllis Ann (Orbison) Honeycutt

Phyllis Ann Orbison Honeycutt, age 87, of China Grove, formerly of Mooresville, left this world for her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab. Born on August 13, 1939, Phyllis was the cherished daughter of the late Edward Eldridge Orbison and Beulah Mae Parker Orbison. She dedicated over 35 years of exemplary service to Draymore Manufacturing, where she served with distinction and leadership as an Inspector/Supervisor. A lifelong, devoted member of West Corinth Baptist Church, Phyllis lived out her faith daily. She was a true servant at heart, always guided by a deep love for caring for, helping, and uplifting those around her. Beyond her work and ministry, Phyllis found great joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life. She loved tending to her flower beds, watching her garden flourish, spending quiet hours reading, but most of all, spending time with her family. They meant the world to her. She was equally at home outdoors—whether casting a line while fishing or exploring nature on a hike. She also delighted in the hunt for hidden treasures, spending many weekends yard-selling and building her cherished glassware collection. Her gentle spirit, steady faith, and generous heart leave an enduring mark on all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Boyce Honeycutt; siblings, Cecil Orbison, Catherine Love, Peggy Stuart, Darrell Orbison, Frances Karriker, Wayne Orbison, Becky Waller, and Patty Orbison.

Those left to cherish her memory as a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend to many include her son: Jerry Honeycutt and wife Michelle; step-granddaughter: Lauren Register; brothers: Phillip Orbison and Ed "Junior" Orbison, Jr. and wife Frances; along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There will be a private family graveside service to celebrate Phyllis’ life.
