Rachael Arlene Gibson

Rachael Arlene Willingham Gibson, age 58 a beloved spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and loved ones who will miss them dearly. Rachael battled liver disease and fought a long fight for six years after the passing of her son Nick.

Rachael was preceded in death by their mother Denise Willingham and her son Nicholas “Nick” Gibson.

Those left to cherish Rachael’s memory include her loving spouse, Darin Gibson, with whom they shared 39 years of marriage; their daughter, Brittany Gardner (Greg); and their beloved granddaughter, Charlotte Gardner. Rachael is also survived by her father, Paul Willingham Sr., her brother, Paul Willingham Jr. (Linda), along with extended family and friends.

One of the greatest joys in Rachael’s life was spending time with her grandchild, Charlotte. They treasured those special moments and the love they shared.

Rachael had a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed being a fan of The Wizard of Oz, Disney, crafting and spending time at the beach. These simple joys, along with their love for family, created many wonderful memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.

Though Rachael will be deeply missed, their memory will continue to live on through Darin, Brittany, Charlotte, and all of their family and friends.

Family and friends will hold a private family led service at a later date.
