

Landis-Raney Edward Troutmam, 88, passed away Monday evening, August 19, 2013, at the Tucker Hospice House. Born October 13, 1924, in Gold Hill, NC, he was a son of the late Nat Alexander and Matti Taylor Troutman. A graduate of Rockwell High, he had honorably served his country in the US Army, during WWII. A heavy mortar crewman, he had served in the European Theatre. Mr. Troutman had retired from Cannon Mills as a loom fixer and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, and love of his life, Pauline Deal Troutman, who passed away on March 13, 2013. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.
Mr. Troutman is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 24, 2013, from 10:00-11:00 am at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral services to remember and celebrate his life will begin at 11:0 am in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Revs. Benny Burgess and Barry Kemp. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of West Lawn Memorial Park, with military rites conducted by the Rowan County and North Carolina Veterans Honor Guards.
