Ricky Lee Thomas

Ricky Lee Thomas, age 74, of Salisbury, North Carolina passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at NOVANT-Rowan Regional Medical in Salisbury after a courageous battle with Covid-19. Born March 31, 1947 in Rowan County, Ricky was the son of the late Manuel Lee Thomas and Doris Shutt Thomas.

After graduating high school, Ricky proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his service, he served as a pastor for numerous churches in the area over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and always looked forward to his October beach trip to go fishing. Ricky was a musician and loved playing the guitar. He was a family man and loved his family dearly.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Lori Thomas of the home; his sons, Ricky Thomas and Ryan Thomas along with his daughter, Heather Thomas. He also leaves behind his brother, Larry Thomas and sister, Renee Thomas and his precious grandchildren, Logan Thomas and Kensley Thomas.

A Visitation for Ricky will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 6:00pm. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at 9:00am on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Salisbury National Cemetery.
