

China Grove-Ricky Alan Walters, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Saturday morning, March 10, 2012. Born May 5, 1961 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late John and Juanita Gibson Walters. A 1979 graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Mr. Walters had retired from the Rowan County Sheriff's Department after 30 years of faithful and loyal service. A loving husband, brother, uncle and friend, he was of the Baptist faith.
Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife, Elizabeth "Ann" Kluttz Walters, whom he married September 29, 1984, his sister, Sandra Walters Holbrook and husband, Blaine, of Landis, niece, Tiffany Holbrook Graeber and husband, Todd, and their children, Addison, Kensley and Ella, all of Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, March 12, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel conducted by the Rev. Michael Taylor. Members of the Rowan County Sherrif's Department will be seated as honorary pallbearers. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
