

Ronald J. Jones (Jonesy), age 81 of Richfield passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday July 14, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born August 25, 1939 in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Warren H. Jones and Beatrice O. (Cowgill) Jones Bostick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clint Bostick and twin brother, Donald F Jones.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. During his service, he was named Airman of the month. After his service, he began his career with the Kettering Police Department in Ohio. After 25 years of service, he retired with high honors in 1989. In his spare time, Ron loved to play corn hole, cards, bowling, and running marathons. He loved listening to country music. He had two favorite songs that he would dance to when he could were Boot Scootin’ Boogie and Keeper of the Star’s.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 35 years Pat Jones, of the home; his son, Tony Jones, (Christy) and his daughter, Lori Kromer (Doug). He also leaves behind his brother, Clint Bostick (Joyce); step-daughters, Tammy Michael, Martha Wing, and Melissa Childress (Jason). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 nephews and too many friends to count.
Visitation for Ron will be on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 12:00 – 2:00pm at Linn – Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel. Burial with Full Military Honors at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove immediately following the funeral service. The family would like to give special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, hospice care and his very special step-daughters and two grandsons that provided all the extra care and love for him during his illness.
