Born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania on February 25th, 1954. He was the son of the late James John Slack and Betty Fornicola Slack and was one of their eight children.
After graduating from Hunterdon Central High School, Ron enlisted in and proudly served in the United States Navy for five years aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid and later on the U.S.S. Forestal .
Following his military service, Ron discovered and cultivated a remarkable artistic talent. He gained national recognition for his craftsmanship, earning numerous awards for his woodwork, pottery, and ice sculptures - each piece reflecting his skill and great attention to detail.
Ron was also an avid outdoorsman and found joy and inspiration in nature. He spent countless hours at the family farm he owned with his wife Diane and their son, Ronald. The surrounding landscape was an oasis and inspiration for his artwork. For over a decade, he and his wife Diane studied and taught martial arts in New Hampshire.
For twenty-one years he was the Maintenance Supervisor at the Salisbury Country Club. He was dedicated to his work and the people he worked alongside.
He will be remembered for his creativity, sense of humor, and the love of his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane and his son Ronald.
