Rose Mary Jones

China Grove-Rose Mary Lopez Jones, 70, passed away Wednesday evening, February 29, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, following a period of declining health. Born July 28, 1941 in Tenian, New Mexico, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Jenny Wellito Lopez. Educated in the New Mexico Schools, Mrs. Jones had been a loyal employee of HBD Industries for many years and was member of Landmark Church. Proud of her full Navajo heritage, Mrs. Jones was a loving wife, mother and extremely devoted grandmother. Mrs. Jones enjoyed flowers, gardening and painting.

Family members left with cherished memories include her husband of 50 years, Philip D. Jones, her two sons, Stephen D Jones and wife, Ellen Bonds Jones of Salisbury and Richard "Rick" Jones of Asheville, two brothers, five sisters, her four much loved grandsons, Dakota Jones (Olivia), Dillon Jones (Sheigh), Dallas Jones and Dustin Jones, and her great-grandson, Isaiah Jones, all of Salisbury.

The family will receive friends at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove on Sunday evening, March 11, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Mrs. Jones' funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Landmark Church, conducted by Pastor Mike Robinson. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Salisbury National Cemetery.
