Ruth Goodman Corriher

Mrs. Ruth Goodman Corriher 89 of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House. Born on October 6, 1926 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Durant and Sopha Moose Goodman. Mrs. Corriher graduated from Winecoff High School in 1943 and Presbyterian School of Nursing. She was a longtime member of Back Creek Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Women of the Church in various aspects as well as a Sunday School teacher. Her professional career was in nursing, where she worked for Cabarrus and Rowan Health Departments, and Rowan, Cabarrus as well as Mooresville Schools as their school nurse. She was active in the Corriher Grange and enjoyed gardening.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 65 ½ years, Kenneth Victor Corriher, son Roy Douglas Corriher of Mooresville and daughter Anita Corriher Howell (Jack) of Advance, grandchildren Jeremy Howell (Heather), Allison Howell Briley (Brian), great grandchildren Austin and Ava Howell, Eli and Lily Briley. Also surviving her is her sister in law Helen Ridenhour Goodman.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:30 til 4:00 at Back Creek Presbyterian Church with funeral at 4:00 also at the church with Rev. Bill Thrailkill ,minister.
