Rockwell-Scotty "Scott" Wayne Hardeman, 47, passed away unexpectedly, Monday evening, April 28th, 2014, at his residence. Born January 19, 1967 in Baltimore, Md., he was a son of the late Rufus Robert and Ruby Heilig Hardeman. A 1985 graduate of South Rowan High School, Scott had been a faithful employee of Freightliner for the past 19 years. Scott was a fun loving man who loved spending time with his children and all his family, and enjoyed four-wheeling, motorcycles, fishing, the lake, and guns. Gone from his earthly home way too soon, Scott was a wonderful father, brother, fiance, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family members left to cherish Scott's memory include his fiancee, Ashley MacMurray: his children, Haley and Cassidy Hardeman; his stepchildren, who he considered his own, Clorisa and Chaluer MacMurray; brothers, Johnny and Michael Hardeman; sisters, Dianne Bayne and husband, Doug, and Melissa Cranford and husband, Kevin; numerous nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Scott's life will begin at 3:00 pm Friday, May 2, 2014, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
