Born in Rowan County on March 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Milas Lowder and Liller Dick Lowder.
In addition to her parents, her brothers, Glenn Lowder, Milas (Buck) Lowder Jr. and Larry Lowder and one sister, Audrey Lowder, also preceded her in death.
Shirley retired from Cannon Mills after 33 years of service as a cloth inspector and was a member of Landis Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lou Eaton; sons, Gregory Stamey, Ricky Dale Stamey (Debbie) and Alby Stamey; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Mike Austin officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
