

Born on January 14, 1940, in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Stacy T. Walser and Irene Dobey Walser.
Stacy graduated from North Carolina State University in 1962 with a bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering. He enjoyed a distinguished career in the textile industry and retired from Hoechst Celanese in 1997, where he served as a Textile Engineer overseeing nylon production. Following his retirement, he continued serving his community by working for the Rowan County Sheriff's Department, where he managed the evidence room.
Growing up along the Yadkin River, Stacy developed a lifelong love of fishing and spending time on the water. He found great joy in boating and sharing time at the lake with family and friends. Whether casting a line, enjoying a day on the water, or gathering with loved ones, he treasured the simple pleasures of life and the relationships that enriched it.
A member of First United Methodist Church in China Grove, Stacy was actively involved in the life of the church. He led a men's Bible study group and served as an usher, sharing his faith through service, fellowship, and encouragement to others.
Stacy was known for his warm spirit, generous heart, and genuine interest in people. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome and valued. His kindness, humor, and friendship touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Loreen C. Walser; his children, Stephen Mark Walser (Tammy Walser), Charles Matthew Walser, Laura Renee Taylor (Raymond Taylor, Jr), and Stacy Edward Walser (Kim Walser); and his siblings, Doug Walser (Mary), Diane Walser, Ginger Hallyburton (Jerry), Jan Miller, and Jimmy Walser (Barbara). Stacy had 9 grandchildren; Stephen, Matthew, Alisha & Stephanie Walser; Jordan, Houston,& Tripp Taylor; Ryan & Sara Walser. He left five great grandchildren as well.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by those family members who welcomed him into eternal life.
Stacy's legacy of faith, friendship, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
