Salisbury

Teresa Lynne Moore, age 58 of Salisbury passed away suddenly in the early morning hours on Sunday, April 21st after a courageous and hard fought battle against a vicious enemy, Multiple Myeloma. Her Dad, Bobby Keith Moore in October of this past year, preceded her in death.

A native of Haywood County, she was a graduate of Pisgah High School in Canton, she later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Food, Lodging and Tourism Management from the University of Tennessee in 1983. Beginning her career as a manager in the hospitality industry, Teresa later owned and managed her own coffee and beverage company in Florida. At her passing, she was employed as a business analyst in the banking industry.

Teresa was devoted to her family and friends. She was a rabid Tennessee Volunteer, Rocky Top Forever football fan! Teresa also enjoyed motorcycling as a member of the Motor Maids Women’s Motorcycle Club. A “fledgling” writer, Teresa loved literature, poetry and the cinema. She loved her animals, her little cabin in the woods and ALL THINGS ORANGE! She will be dearly missed!

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Unav Sanders Moore; brothers, Phillip Moore (Kelley), Johnny Moore (Betty); sister, Patricia (Patty) Moore, as well as her uncle, John L. Moore of Franklin. Also surviving her are her nieces and nephews, Susan Partridge (Josh), Amanda Curtis (Brian), Matthew Moore (Kim) and Zachary Moore (Jeannie) and nine great nieces and nephews. Visitation for Teresa will be Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 11:00-1:00pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to International Multiple Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Drive, Suite 206, North Hollywood, CA 91607. I got the opportunity to work with Teresa at Wells Fargo. I will remember Teresa for her cheerful and lively nature. Her brilliance in taking ownership of any item and bringing any particular item to closure. Her sharp memory and getting hold of very-very old emails.

Patty and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Teresa was a gem!
I met Teresa 4 years ago when she started working with our team at the bank. Her obvious southern accent is memorable! She worked hard, was a very fun person to work with, and her dedication to her work was admirable; even when she was sick and going through treatments she would be calling in to meetings. She was a talker, too, and I always knew when she asked for a 'quick call' that there would be no such thing and to plan extra time for the conversation.
She and I talked a lot because I have a brother who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, and she knew I understood her battle. I passed along his information to her and am not sure if they ever connected or not. My brother is in rare company as a survivor of almost 20 years, and I hoped his story gave her some hope that she could make it past that 5 year mark like he has done.
She was so thoughtful. She sent me a card when my father passed away a couple of years ago, she always would ask how I was doing afterwards, and her thoughtfulness was there to the end when I received word of her passing and that she had a specific message for me that she wanted someone to share when they shared the news.
I loved the stories of her goats, of her family, and her past endeavors in her work life. I am sad that we won't be continuing to work together, and yet at peace knowing she isn't far away at all.
Rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed.

I knew Teresa as a workmate at Wells Fargo. We last communicated in February and she was hoping to get her numbers stabilized so she could return to work. So sad to hear of her passing and praying for her family to find strength during this difficult time. May you be comforted in knowing you have gained a caring Angel.

I was so sorry to hear about Teresa passing. We had a lot of good times together in high school and playing softball together from youth through high school. She was a wonderful person. I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers today and in the days to come.
