Valrie Sue Galloway

Born in Rowan County on September 29, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Spencer Allen Lomax, Sr. and Thelma Sue Scercy Lomax.

In addition to her parents, Valrie was also preceded in death by one brother, Rick Lomax.

She graduated from South Rowan High School – Class of 1973 and worked in textiles for several years. Valrie enjoyed spending time with family and her friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Elizabeth Galloway (Adam Seaford); son, Mitchell Scercy Galloway (Mahayla); four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Galloway, Grayson Galloway, Stetson Galloway and Jameson Galloway; and two brothers, Spencer Allen Lomax, Jr. (Deborah) and Lynn Lomax (Daphne).

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow the visitation at West Lawn Memorial Park.
