Virginia Lipe Efird

Mrs. Virginia Dare Lipe Efird, 85 of China Grove passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at Morningside Assisted Living in Concord. Born on February 19, 1932 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Mills Lipe. Educated in the Iredell County Schools, she worked for many years in Cannon Mills. Mrs. Efird attended Lutheran Chapel Church and enjoyed sittng in her swing and reading her books. She and her husband Grady enjoyed riding motorcycles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Grady Efird and a grandson Jonathan Efird. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Donald Efird (Dee), Dennis Efird (Kay), daughters Tammy Efird and Sherry Irvin (Chuck). In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren Angela Nance (Josh), Brent Efird, Graham Irvin ,Clayton Smith and great grandchildren Makyna, Brinley, Charley and Addilyn Nance.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 till 2:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral to follow at 2:00 also at the funeral home with burial at West Lawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.linnhoneycuttfuneralhome.com
