

Christian Home. Barbara was the daughter of Ronald and Ella Christy.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Chino. She attended Chino Schools and
Graduated from Chino High School. Barbara was married to the love of her
life, John William "Bill", for 49 wonderful years. Bill passed away in 1998.
Barbara and Bill had a poultry ranch most of their married life. They also
were very active in the community. Barbara was a member of the Chino
Historical Society, volunteered at Inland Christian home, both were active
members in their church, United Methodist Church on Riverside Drive in
Chino, their daughters school's PTA as well as the Chino 4-H club. They
were always seen together at Chino High Football and Basketball games
along with their three girls and friends. They loved their family and their
community of Chino. Barbara worked over 30 years for the Chino Valley
School District. She retired from the district as Secretary at Dickson
Elementary School. After retiring Barbara went every weekday and
served the residents at Inland Christian Home their morning coffee
and snack. She loved life and had a special place in her heart
not just for her family, but for serving others. She will be greatly missed.
Barbara is survived by her daughters; Linda Proudfit (Clark), Sally Van
Hofwegen (Ed), and Susan Keser. She is also survived by 11
grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter.
She is also survived by one sister, Kathleen Hayes, of San Diego.
