It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cory Lee Hammond, who passed away on June 30, 2026, at the age of 57.
Cory was born on May 23, 1969, in Pomona, California, to Jeanine and Robert Hammond. From an early age, he had a caring heart and a quick wit that could brighten any room. He had a way of making people laugh, offering a helping hand when it was needed most, and making those around him feel welcomed and valued.
Cory found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved sharing a meal at Vince’s Spaghetti, cheering on his favorite sports teams, listening to all kinds of music, watching Disney movies, and getting lost in criminology and true crime shows. More than anything, however, he treasured the time he spent with his family. His greatest joy was being a grandpa to his beloved grandson, Noah, whose smile brought him endless happiness. The love he had for his family was unwavering, and the memories they created together will be cherished forever.
Those who knew Cory will remember his generous spirit, his compassion, his resilience through life’s challenges, and his unforgettable sense of humor. He had a gift for making others feel at ease, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether through a joke, a conversation, or simply his presence, Cory had a way of bringing comfort and joy to those around him.
Cory was preceded in death by his beloved grandmothers, Mary Turnour and Rhoda Hammond; his grandfathers, Willard Hammond and Kenneth Turnour; his parents, Jeanine and Robert Hammond; his sisters, Robin Hammond and Carrie Hammond; and his precious grandsons, Blake Hammond and Logan Hammond. While their reunion brings comfort, they leave behind those who will miss them dearly.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Michael Hammond, Robert Hammond, and Corina Banks; his cherished grandson, Noah Hammond; his aunt, Judy Turnour; his cousins, Nikki Turnour and Rick Chase; as well as many extended family members and lifelong friends whose lives were enriched by his love, laughter, and friendship.
A Memorial Service will be held on July 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Funeraria del Angel, Chino, California. Family and friends are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate Cory’s life, share treasured memories, and honor the incredible man he was.
Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort in knowing that Cory’s love, laughter, wisdom, and spirit will remain with us always. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved so deeply, and the countless memories that will forever be held close to our hearts.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
