Courtney, You were our Big Brother growing up in Cerritos during our childhood and teenage years. Our families were close and spent alot of time together, especially Fourth of July during the summertime. You could fix anything, you were a "Techy" before they coined the phrase. Late night rides in the Honda Accord, playing video games, 50 mile bike rides, flipping burgers at Naugles, movies, working on cars, we did it all. There is a saying; "Youth is wasted on the Young," but that wasn't you at all because you lived life to the fullest. It's been awhile since I have seen you, but you called when my Father passed away which meant the world. No one is guaranteed length of years, but we can control how we spend the years God gives us. I'll remember that smile, but even more so I will remember that laugh. You are 1:1. Rest Up. :)

"Courtney is the smartest one here," I'd think to myself often. His most recent role at SCE was administrative support for Technicians, yet on several occasions I witnessed those Techs seeking his advice on topics such as auto-repair, car-audio, or electrical theory. There was more though, more to his intelligence. Courtney had a calming presence and mild-mannered way about himself that brought peace to an environment he was in. Courtney’s antidote to a frustrating situation would often be his signature smile and shoulder shrug. Without saying a word, his wise counsel was given and received. Courtney will be deeply missed. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Courtney was a great co-worker and a good man. He will be truly missed by many and remembered for his kindness, humor, and calm demeanor. 
I'm thankful that I was able to work with him and learn life lessons from the wisdom he shared with me.

So sorry to hear of Courtney’s passing. I remember him fondly during his time spent as a FSR in Ontario. He was a kind, intelligent individual who always made things better for everyone. My condolences to the family. May God bless you during this difficult time.

I am very saddened to hear of Courtney’s passing. We spoke almost daily when I was in the office—prior to my retirement in 2022. I enjoyed discussing various subjects with Courtney such as the latest technology—especially what was the best starter and/or advanced drone to buy.  He always had a smile on his face and never had anything bad to say.  I remember well he enjoyed leading the morning stretching exercises.  My sincerest condolences to the immediate family, close friends and coworkers.  Prayers for all.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Courtney’s passing. He was one of the first people I met when I started at Edison back in 2010, and from the very beginning, he made an impression. For the most part, Courtney always had a great attitude and was someone you could easily approach, especially when it came to talking about cars, which he clearly loved. I’ll always remember those conversations and the kindness he showed me. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
