Gabriel Guadalupe Duran

Gabriel G. Duran, 19, of Adelanto, passed away suddenly on July 17, 2017. He was born on September 3, 1997 in Loma Linda, California and was a resident of Adelanto for 11 years. Growing up Gabriel played baseball for Adelanto Little League and was very good at the sport. He loved camping with his “Mommy Guille” and went on many trips and had a great childhood growing up. He picked up bike riding at around 15 years of age and loved it. Gabriel loved to learn new tricks and challenged himself to become better after every trick he accomplished. Gabriel had a Heart of Gold and loved helping others who were in need. Whenever you would see Gabriel you would be greeted with a cheerful hello or a sincere hug. He was always sure to tell his family he loved them. Gabriel was adored by his loving family and countless friends.

He is survived by his parents Valerie Duran and Pablo Pena; grandparents Elena and Lupe Duran; grandmother Maria Pena and son Aiden; siblings Angel Urrutia, Mariah Urrutia, Santana Amesquita, Nathaniel Deleon, Viviana Pena , Celeste Pena and Samantha Pena; maternal aunts Dorvalina Duran, Regina Duran and Erica Duran; paternal aunts Anna Pena, Elvira Pena, Lupe Eaton Pena and paternal uncle Jose Pena.

Gabriel is preceded in death by Guillermina Pena, known to him as "Mommy Guille", Grandfather Jose Pena and Cousin Manuel.

A celebration of life service will be held 9 a.m., Monday, August 28, 2017 at Living Way Christian Fellowship in Fontana. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona.
