

Jose Salvador Caldera, 80, of Pomona, passed away April 2, 2012 at home. He was born October 30, 1931 in Calera, Zacatecas, Mexico. Sal was a parishioner of St. Madeleine Catholic Church in Pomona. He loved baseball and was an avid Dodgers fan. Sal loved to fish and camp. Most of all, Sal enjoyed his family. Sal is survived by his wife Lidia F. Caldera; his daughter Marylou Granados and his sons Salvador Caldera Jr, Richard Caldera and Robert Caldera. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Sal is preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Cordero. Sal will be remembered dearly, missed immensely and always loved immeasurably. Visitation hours will be 5 p.m to 8 p.m, Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Pierce Brothers Griffith Mortuary in Chino, with rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m, Friday, April 13, 2012 at St. Madeleine Catholic Church in Pomona.
