Jose Borges Rocha, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 82. He was born on September 13, 1940 (USA October 13) in Vila Nova, Terceira, Açores, Portugal. He passed away on October 11, 2022 in Ontario, California.
He was a loving, hard working man who loved family, cattle, his heritage, music and to joke around. He came to America in 1971 with his wife and three children and the hope to make a better life for his family. He worked hard, achieving his dream of owning and raising cattle and lived the American dream by buying a house in Ontario and raising his family. Until recent years he was an active part of the surrounding Portuguese community supporting his culture and heritage.
He is survived by his wife Maria Amelia Rocha, his five children Ana Rocha Soares, Maria Natal Rocha, Jose Joao Rocha, Virginia Maria Wang, and Antonio Manuel Rocha; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and his sister Lambertina Gomes. He will be greatly missed!
