Kristin Melissa Young

Kristin Melissa Young, 21 years old, of Chino, passed away on February 9, 2014 in Diamond Bar, CA. She was born on September 30, 1992 in Long Beach, CA and was a Chino resident for 9 years. Kristin also lived in La Mirada prior to her move to Chino. She attended St. Paul of the Cross School in La Mirada and graduated in 2006. Kristin then moved on to iPoly High School in Pomona from 2006 to 2008. She graduated from Chino High School; class of 2010. With an adventurous spirit, Kristin went to Miami, Florida to pursue her education at Barry University. Kristin will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for her family and friends and the joy she brought to everyone. She is lovingly survived by her mother Anna Marie Thompson; Step-father Barry Thompson; father David Young; brother Brooklyn Young; sister Jonan Young; grandparents Jose and Yvonne Coye and Godfrey and Constance Young; aunts Keizah Coye and Louise Young; uncles Warren Coye, Robert Young, Howard Young and Jeffrey Young and cousin Kasey Ritchie. Visitation hours will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Chino Hills with words of reflection beginning at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the church. In honor of Kristin's love for her second home, she will be taken to Belize for funeral services at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Joseph Church in Belize City and laid to rest at Lord Ridge Cemetery in Belize City, Belize.
