Today I head back to work for the first time since your passing. I thought it would be extremely difficult, but knowing how proud you were of me, made me want to serve with pride in your memory. You taught me how to be strong, how to love, serve others, and to establish a work ethic that I never thought was possible. I will run every call today with you on my shoulders keeping me strong and holding me up with the strength I never thought I could have. I know many people who question and say "I hope he was proud of me"? I am so thankful that I have never questioned myself about that. I know how proud you were of me, and I thank the lord for that everyday. You held this Family up, and supported us since the beginning, even in your final days when you were extremely sick. You're the strongest man I've ever met. Thank you for being such an amazing Dad and Father. If and when the Lord blesses me with a child, I will make you proud raising them with the same morals and values you instilled in me. I will keep your legacy alive & continue to fight and support our family. We will all be ok pop. RIP my hero. I will always strive to be the amazing man you are! We love you Dad! Till we meet again. 

When we moved into our home the lot next to us was just land and we always wondered who would fill this empty lot. Lui and Maria’s beautiful home was built and we just knew the moment we met them, that we were blessed with the best neighbors! Although we are just neighbors, Lui was not just our neighbor he touched our lives like a father always helping find solutions to broken things we needed help with and he enjoyed it so much. We will miss his voice saying “Hola Amigo” every time he would see Carlos. Lui always shared stories of his family, he was ALWAYS so proud of the things his family accomplished. Lui has impacted our lives in such a powerful way, we will always think of him when we see an American flag as he was so proud of his flag pole in his front yard. Lui introduced us to Portuguese sausage another aspect of Lui, he was so proud of his heritage. Lui we love you so much both in life and death. You have left a beautiful legacy in your beautiful children and grandchildren! Our home will never be the same without you next door but we promise to watch over your beautiful Maria every day of our lives. Until we met again Amigo! 

He will always be remembered!  All of our fun camping memories 💕.  May his soul rest in peace with our Lord Jesus🙏🏻.  God bless your family with peace😘

We will miss you Grandpa Simoes! Your sweet smile & laughter whenever the girls had their crazy fun together will be tremendously missed.
