Lea was born in Bohol, Philippines to Emiliano Sabandal and Praxedes Kiamco in 1947. She received her Bachelors in Commerce from Cebu Institute of Technology in 1969. In 1974, she married Hilarion (Larry) in Cebu, and moved to the US in 1975 where they raised three children together.
Lea is survived by her husband, Larry; son Ray & wife Bianca; daughters Claire & Jennifer; grandchildren Dominic & Mia; and siblings Rachie, Addie, Henedino, Amparo, Sr. Victoria Aida, Ma. Consuelo, Lucilo, Manuela Belen and Gamaleila. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Ramon.
