Mary Connie Platt

Mary Connie Platt, 86, of Monterey Park, CA, passed away on July 30, 2016 at Santa Anita Convalescent in Temple City. She was born on December 4, 1929 in El Paso, Texas and resided in Monterey Park for 62 years. Connie, as she was known, lived in Long Beach for 10 years prior to her move to Monterey Park. She loved her family and devoted her life to caring for them. Connie was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Louis Platt; 3 daughters Cynthia La Rosa, Melody Hernandez and Leslie Platt-Rao. Connie is also survived by her 5 grandchildren Jason La Rosa, Brittany La Rosa, Brandon Hernandez, Roxy Hernandez and Ricky Hernandez; and 1 great grandchild, Maya LaRosa. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Our Lady Of Solitude Catholic Church in Los Angeles with funeral mass following at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside. Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria del angel Pierce Brothers Griffith, Chino, CA.
