

Miguel “Mike” Garcia Jr., 78 years of age, passed away on February 2, 2014 in the comfort of his own home. He was born on October 10, 1935 and was a life time Chino resident. Miguel “Mike” retired from the labor union, where he was a superintendent for underground pipeline. He did a lot of the pipeline improvement in the local areas. Miguel “Mike” also worked for Chino Valley Hospital as a security guard for several years. He was a US Army Veteran and participated with 4th Infantry Division, a Major Strategic Army Corps (STRAC) Unit in Exercise Dry Hills at the Yakima Firing Center in Washington. During his spare time he enjoyed farming, scratching lotto tickets and attending church. Miguel “Mike” is survived by his sister Lucy Vicario, son Miguel “Mike” Garcia III of Chino and Daniel “Tim” Garcia of Chino. He was taken care of by his grandson Ernie “Butch” Garcia Jr. and his granddaughter Erica “Changa” Garcia. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation hours will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Chino. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Church.
