November 6, 1960 – October 17, 2025
Patricia Mary Edwards, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 64. Born in Price, Utah, on November 6, 1960, Patricia lived a life full of warmth, compassion, and dedication to those she loved.
In 1981, Patricia met and married the love of her life, Kelly Edwards, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together, they built a life rooted in love and adventure, eventually moving to California in 1987. Patricia’s nurturing spirit led her to open a daycare business, which she ran for over 20 years. Her impact on the lives of countless children and their families continued over the years. She was not just their babysitter, she was a second mother to many.
In 2010, Patricia began a new chapter working at the Ontario Library, where she proudly served in the Model Colony area. She often said she had “the best job in the library,” and her enthusiasm and joy were evident when she was telling you about the amazing work she did. She loved the history of the City and enjoyed sharing it with anyone who would listen.
Patricia’s passions included reading, history, and camping with Kelly—simple pleasures that brought her immense happiness. Her family and friends meant everything to her, and she gave her love freely and generously.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Kelly, her cherished son, Dusty, her brothers, Mike and Bruce, and her sisters, Peggy, Cindy and Dayle. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Christene and Merle Smock, and her sister, Janice.
Her legacy of kindness, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
