At just 18, she married the love of her life, José Garduño, and together they built a life rooted in hard work, compassion, and devotion to family.

In 1964, with six little girls and a baby in her arms, she made the brave journey from Mexico to the United States, reuniting her family and giving them the gift of new beginnings.

For 58 years, Mama Sara made Chino, California, her home — a place that welcomed countless friends and family with open doors, laughter, and warm meals. She embodied generosity, humour, and an unshakable faith that guided everyone who knew her.

Her unforgettable spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved her — her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many lives she touched with kindness.

After so many years apart, Mama Sara is now reunited with her beloved José, and together they rest in the eternal peace of God’s embrace.

A los 18 años se casó con el amor de su vida, José Garduño, con quien formó un hogar basado en el trabajo, la fe y la unión familiar.

En 1964, con seis pequeñas y un bebé en brazos, emprendió con valentía su viaje desde México hacia Estados Unidos para reunirse con su esposo y ofrecer a su familia un mejor futuro.

Durante 58 años, Mamá Sara hizo de Chino, California, su hogar — un lugar lleno de amor, risas y puertas siempre abiertas. Fue una mujer generosa, alegre y profundamente creyente, que dejó huellas imborrables en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

Hoy, después de tantos años, Mamá Sara se reúne con su amado José y descansa en la paz eterna del Señor.

Su amor fue incondicional.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Chino, located at 13002 South Central Ave, Chino, CA, 91710, on February 9, 2026, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 5048 D St, Chino, CA, on February 9, 2026, starting at 12:00 pm.

Burial will follow at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA, 91740, on February 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
