At the age of six years old, he left Texas to be raised by his aunt Anita and uncle Antonio Torres in Los Angeles, California. Throughout Tim’s childhood he was an altar server at his church, St. Anthony’s for many years. He was a man of faith, integrity, and respect. He attended Queen of Angels grammar school up until the 8th grade. He then attended Cathedral High School where he graduated in 1954. Tim met Rose at a high school Valentine’s Day dance in 1951, and soon after became high school sweethearts. After Rose graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus High School they got married on July 2, 1955. Soon after, Tim left for the military to serve in the United States Army in 1956. Tim served two years and came home in May of 1958, excited to meet his son Anthony for the very first time. He was a very proud veteran to have served his country. Soon after, they had their daughters Cathy and Elizabeth and purchased their home in Montebello in 1964 where they lived for forty years. They both were very proud parents of Anthony, Cathy and Elizabeth, who are married and successful in their careers. Tim worked for ITT Barton for 47 years and was in management as a quality control supervisor until he retired in 2003. He was highly admired by his co-workers for his work with the company and received many outstanding awards. After retirement, Tim and Rose moved to Chino Hills, California in 2005 to be close to their daughters.
Family was No. 1 and very important in Tim’s life which he deeply valued and taught all of his children to be loving and respectful.
