Anthony Mendes Borges

January 14, 1953October 8, 2020

Tony M. Borges, 67, of Madera, California, went to be with the Lord on October 8th, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Virginia Borges. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy and his children April, Brandi and Cody and his four grandchildren Beyla, Clementine, Cody Jr. and Corey Anthony. He is also survived by his brothers Frank, John, Manuel and Joe Borges and sister Natal Mello. Tony had worked all of his life in agriculture and for over thirty years as a herdsman for Fabland Farms in Madera. He enjoyed helping children in his local 4-H chapter, working with little league players to develop their skills and watching baseball-the Los Angeles Dodgers were his team of choice. But Tony's greatest love was his family. He absolutely enjoyed spending time with all of his family members. Tony also had great faith and loved his church. It was this faith that helped maintain his spirits in the last couple of years of his life. And it is this devotion that many will remember him by.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Madera local 4-H club in care of UC Cooperative Extension, 328 S. Madera Avenue, Madera, CA 93637-5465

The world has lost one of it’s most genuinely kind men that I have had the honor to have known. In the thirty years that Tony has been a part of our family, I have known him to be both honorable and peace loving. I never have heard him speak ill of anyone, instead he always found good things to share about those he loved and those he came in contact with. Tony had a great love for his family and never held back from letting everyone know. Thank you for your example dear brother in-law, we will miss you.
