One of the absolute kindest men I've ever met in my life
October 30, 2020
I loved our Uncle Truitt! My sweetest memories have always been of how kind he was and loving to all us girls and Robert! We loved to go to his and Aunt Lena's home by the school and I remember playing outside for hours and then coming inside and hearing all the laughter(with him leading it) while the adults played Nurtz and they would even let me sit in and substitute sometimes! Pretty big honor for a little girl and something I never forgotten. He had the gentlest of smiles, kind hands and I can almost hear his little chuckle! He was always so good to Mama and Daddy and I loved seeing all of our Aunts and Uncles interact! They had such respect for each other and a love for Grandma Owens. What a great life he has lead and how blessed we have been to be a part of it! I wish our lives hadn't gone in so many directions as we grew up. All my love to his precious family and to each one of you as you process and remember his precious spirit! He was a good man and after I shared with my grandkids my memories, one of my grandsons(who is like Dennis the Menace) said in all seriousness , "May he rest in Peace and be with God" and the younger one then followed with his head bowed "Rest in Peace, my old friend! "Gosh, I SO love kids. They so help with the sorrow! May all your memories bring such sweet comfort! I love you, Uncle Truitt! Love you all!
