Brenda was born on August 17, 1962, in Chowchilla, California to Pearl and Freeman Bailey of Le Grand, California.
Brenda spent her formative years attending various special needs schools in Fresno where she resided for 52 years. Until her illness prevented her, Brenda attended UCP+ adult program (United Cerebral Palsy) for more than 30 years. She was adored by staff and clients alike. She loved attending “school” and especially cooking class days.
Brenda could be ornery and could knock any of her sisters on their butts whenever she was wrestling with them. She loved all animals, except “bugs.” She was the heartbeat of our family and loved by her many family and friends.
Brenda loved Mickey Mouse all her life and had quite the collection. It was always easy to figure out birthday and Christmas gifts.
She loved crisscrossing the United States taking annual "Adventures" with her Mom and her sister, Betty. They would be gone for weeks at a time visiting family and friends.
Brenda was predeceased by her parents Pearl Mae Bailey (Bollinger) of Fresno, California and Freeman Foster Bailey of Le Grand, California.
She leaves behind the rest of the “Bailey Girls," her loving sisters, Barbara Cruz (Eppie Gonzalez) of Fresno, California, Betty Bailey (Randy Nabb) of Seward, Alaska, Bernice Bailey (Rick Horn) of Fresno, California, and Bonnie Swanson of Portland, Tennessee. She also leaves behind 2 nieces, 6 nephews, 1 great niece, and 2 great nephews, along with many cousins and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. held at Plainsburg Cemetery, 8943 E Gillette Road, Le Grand, California.
