Carolyn graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961. And later she married Jack Simon on September 5, 1970, at the Calwa United Methodist Church, and moved to Chowchilla in 1973 where they raised 6 children and enjoyed 45 years of marriage until Jack’s passing in 2016.
Carolyn worked for more than 30 years as a secretary at Alview School and was a devoted member of Valley Harvest Church. She was a constant presence at church services, prayer groups, and at her grandchildren’s sports and special events.
Carolyn is survived by her 3 brothers; Don, Ed, and Mike Heffernan; sisters-in-law Judy and Elaine; her six children and their spouses; David and Alicia, Mark and Cynthia, Chris and Kendra, Linda and Andres, Tim and fiancé Niki, Ken and Tami; Cindy and Ken Tharp, 11 nieces and nephews, and 18 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 10:30 am held at Valley Harvest Church, 717 Robertson Blvd., Chowchilla, California.
