Known to family and friends as Jim, he was a devoted husband, father, Navy Veteran, and loyal friend whose humor, generosity, and love touched countless lives.
Born and raised in California's Central Valley, Jim graduated from Hilmar High School and worked in agriculture before proudly joining the United States Navy in March 1958. He served as a submariner and remained deeply proud of his military service throughout his life.
Following his time in the Navy, Jim pursued a career as an electrician and relocated to Sonoma County, where he built a life with his family. There, he worked hard, raised his children, and shared many years with his wife Barbara. In 2001, Jim and Barbara moved to Chowchilla to enjoy their retirement years.
Jim was known for his willingness to help others, especially when it came to electrical projects and advice. He cherished his family, valued his friendships, and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh. Those who knew him will remember his kindness, quick wit, and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand.
Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara, six children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his humor, generosity, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
