Born on April 23, 1946, to Paul and Gladys Zenger.
Janice grew up in Dos Palos, until she met and married her husband Don of 49 years. In 1978 they moved to Chowchilla raising their 3 children.
Janice was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, but she always put God and family first. She was very active in several ministries that included ministry in song, preaching and teaching the word of God. She loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face.
Janice remarried James Lequieu April 3, 2015. In 2019 she moved to Idaho where she was cared for by her daughter.
She is survived by her husband James Lequieu a sister Pauline Downum her children and their spouses Brad and Sis Buttrey, Trina and Shawn Moss, Chad and Dannette Buttrey, along with 9 grandkids, 11 great grandchildren, all of whom were deeply loved and cherished.
Janice was preceded in death by her loving husband Don Buttrey, her parents, and her brother G.W. Zenger.
A Visitation Service will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at Chowchilla Family Worship Center, 238 Kings Avenue, Chowchilla, California from 5:00 -8:00 p.m.
Please join the family for a Celebration Service which will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Chowchilla Family Worship Center at 10:00 a.m. A Graveside Service for Janice will be held following services at the Chowchilla District Cemetery, located at 23359 Road 14 ½, Chowchilla, California.
