Jastis Alves, 30, passed away August 16, 2026.
She was a strong-minded, stubborn woman who hardly showed her affection even to family, but if you knew her, it was enough to know that she loved you too. She is an exact copy of her mother, not only in the flesh but in mind and spirit, often fondly remembered by the familiar phrase, "Oh, I thought you were Diana."
Between mother and daughter, there was a deep, unique, rooted love; a relationship that was at times stern and hardcore, and at times the most fragile, tender, and extremely delicate friendship.
Jastis does not simply leave us behind, but continues to live through her unwavering, unbelievable, endless amount of confidence and courage.
Always by her side for better or for worse, never quitting his care or love for her, is her devoted boyfriend, Brandon Pettit, age 38.
Jastis is survived by her four children: Maddox Alves (10), Atticus Alves (8), Zion Alves (6), and Divinity Alves (2).
She is deeply loved and survived by her mother, Diana Lee Alves, and her father, Timothy Turner. She is also survived by her grandparents, Thomas Alves, Birgit Alves, Vickie Jones, and Launey Turner. She leaves behind her siblings: Juan Lopez, Corina Menchaca, Nyssa Menchaca, Nathaniel Menchaca, Nicholas Weidner, and six other siblings.
She will be missed, but her love will endure forever.
"A beautiful soul has taken flight, forever remembered as one of God's unique Angels."
A Visitation Service will be held on August 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 S 6th Street, Chowchilla, California.
