Jesse was born in Five Points Ca, to Elvira Acadiz Amescua of El Paso TX and was loved by his stepfather Trinidad Vieyra Amescua of Michoacan MX. He graduated from Riverdale High School and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1969. Jesse fought for his country in the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged in 1975.
He returned to Fresno and met his wife Mary Ann whom he married in 1980. Jesse worked for many years at Certainteed in Chowchilla as a fabricator before retiring. By 1987 they had two beautiful daughters but it wasn't until his grandson Isaiah was born that Jesse's life was again filled with the most joy. They did everything together and it was rare to see Jesse around town without his right hand man Isaiah. From T-ball games to his High School Football games Jesse was there cheering Isaiah on. He loved to be out at the fields laughing and joking with parents and secretly passing out candies to all the players siblings who were stuck watching the games. He loved to watch the Dodgers, Rams, and taking trips to the coast.
A visitation for Jesse will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 South 6th Street, Chowchilla, CA, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
A celebration of his life reception will be held at the Madera Elk's Lodge 112 W. 6th St, Madera.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disabled American Veteran's Fund (DAV).
