Jimmy is survived by his mother Mary Dickens, wife Erlina Dickens; son Jimmylee Dickens (Courtney); and daughter Jemilyne Dickens (Luis); brother William Dickens, sisters Barbara Fox, MaryAnn Dickens, and Debbie Lewis. Jimmy also had four grandchildren, Isaac, Jayla, Olivia, and Brynlee.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Hershel Dickens.
Jimmy was a wonderful father, son, husband, and grandpa. One of Jimmy's biggest accomplishments was being a father. He had always wanted children and considered himself lucky enough to have two. His children, Jemilyne and Jimmylee, called their dad a superhero, and even as adults, still see him that way. He was always there for them through their ups and downs, and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer. Jimmy joined the United States Army at the age of 17 in 1969. He served as an Equipment Mechanic stationed in Germany. After Jimmy got out of the army, he started driving trucks and continued to do so his entire life. Jimmy had so much passion for the trucking industry that he even owned his own company with his brother for a little while at one point in time. Jimmy was a quiet simple man that lived by the word of our savior Jesus Christ. He is so loved and will always be with us in our hearts. We will all cherish our memories with you forever and see you again in heaven one day.
