John served in the United States Army from July 1952 to April 1954, ranking as a Corporal.
John is survived by his daughter Kade and his grand daughter Sherry Lisenby of Texas.
He is preceeded in death by his parents John Henry Lisenby and his mother Mabel Pearl (Dillard).
John will be laid to rest with a private service with family.
