OBITUARY

Laura Lynn Kobzeff

March 27, 1946May 2, 2019

In the evening of May 2, 2019, Laura had passed away peacefully with God holding her hand as Jesus led her to Heaven to meet her husband Jim, parents and all loved ones waiting for her in God’s Kingdom. She was a very loving and caring wife of over 50 years, a nurturing mother, grandmother and friend. She would always help her children when she could and give advice to help you thru any situation. She is preceded in death of her husband Jim Kobzeff. She is survived by her two children Jim Kobzeff Jr. and Cynthia Kobzeff. Her two grandchildren Tiffany Cook and Jimmy D. Kobzeff and great grandchildren. She was born in Los Angeles, California to parents Luba and William Dolmatoff. She had 3 siblings Emma Jean, Marina and William Jr. There she went to school and graduated from El Monte High School. She kept in contact with her friends that would go surfing at Huntington Beach and enjoy the ocean and talks of their futures. When she was growing up she enjoyed going to the Opera with her mother and having fond memories of seeing her favorite opera venue, Madam Butterfly. Laura married Jim Kobzeff on July 19, 1964. Laura settled with her Husband in Chowchilla after they were married. They also lived in Australia in the early part of their marriage where her parents lived for a few years and then came back to the states to raise their children. They lived in the country where it was peaceful and the place where she enjoyed the most. Her husband built go-carts that they would invite friends and family to come race around the track. Along with it came BBQ’s and friendship that you never wanted to miss because it was so much fun for everybody to get together. They participated in the Chowchilla May Day Parades that her husband Jim built anything from the Boston Tea Party ship, Trains and old type cars they called “the cucaracha”. They always had family, such as the grandchildren riding along. They enjoyed building the projects thru the generations while making memories and stories to pass on. She enjoyed the trips to the ocean mostly Monterey, California. They would get a place to stay and get a bucket of chicken down the road and head to the beach. She had many great memories to make and share and so glad that we didn’t miss the time we had with her. She is at peace with God and we know that she will suffer her earthly body no more. She is healed and in Heaven where she will remain and until we see her again. Always in our hearts and memories.

Cynthia:
Please accept our condolences for the loss of your mother. From what we've heard, she was a great woman to be admired. As your long-time friends we know how special of a person she truly was to you. Your mom was a beautiful woman in her personality, integrity, and actions. We will be thinking about you in the coming days and saying a prayer for you now and then. We would be grateful for the opportunity to help you in any way that you need in the coming days and weeks. Just so you know we will be checking in on you to see what we can do. We love you dearly.
