

Lena attended Chowchilla schools and graduated high school in Millinocket, Maine. She went on to put herself through college earning a Master’s Degree in Education. She taught elementary school in southern California and in various schools in the Central Valley. She loved children and enjoyed teaching them. She was also an accomplished artist, and shared her paintings with family and friends. Her favorite thing to paint was the many faces of Yosemite National Park and she often included the granite formations into her work regardless of the painting’s theme.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Hazel Price Jarvis Zimmerman.
She leaves behind her brothers, Ruben and Roy (Dorothy) Price; sister, Marylee Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. She was loved by them all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Merced SPCA, 1021 E. Childs Avenue, Merced, CA 95341.
The family is planning a private memorial in honor of Lena’s wishes.
