Maria was born in Mexico to her parents Zerapio and Zenaida Garcia. Later in life she moved to California raising her own family with her beloved husband Luis. Together they raised seven children.
Maria was a very strong loving wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. One of her many passions was being able to spend as much time as she could with them. She was always happy when the family would all come over and they would spend time in the backyard barbequing, singing, dancing, and talking into the late night. You would never see her without a smile on her face, and if you did you knew you were in trouble.
She never let bad things effect her, she went through life with a smile on her face, the most loving, caring heart a mother could give. Anyone who came to mom's house she would sit them down and make sure they were fed, no one ever walked out of her home hungry.
During her quite time, she loved to sit and crochet while watching television.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband Luis Velasco, her parents Zerapio and Zenaida Garcia, her brothers Santos and Rafael Garcia, and her Aunt Manuela Garcia.
Maria is survived by her children Leticia Velasco, Ramona Doria, Maricela Manzo, Veronica Velasco, Luis Velasco Jr., Jose Velasco, and Daniel Velasco.
She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
