Her presence, her beautiful smile, and her unmistakable laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Though her time here on earth has come to an end, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Mary lovingly known as "MA," was born on February 26, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the second oldest of five siblings and the only daughter in her family. She was raised in Atlanta, where she spent her early years building a life filled with family, love, and adventure.
For six years, Mary raised three sons in Atlanta before making a life-changing move to California. There, she welcomed her fourth son, completing the family that would become the greatest joy of her life. Mary and her four boys, Anthony (Diane), Robert (Cheri), Christopher (Laura), and Saville (Debbie) continued their family adventure in Colusa California, where she fulfilled one of her lifelong dreams of living in California. She eventually made her home in Chowchilla, where she remained until her final days.
Mary loved the beauty of nature and found joy in the simple things that made life special. When her boys were young, she enjoyed taking them camping and fishing, creating the kind of memories that live on long after childhood has passed. She was a devoted mother who treasured every moment with her sons.
As her boys grew and went through school, Mary became a familiar and unforgettable figure among the spectators. She was the loudest voice at the football games, cheering proudly and passionately for her boys. She never missed an opportunity to support them, celebrate them, and let the world know just how proud she was.
Mary had a special love for butterflies. She enjoyed butterfly shirts, butterfly artwork, and the beauty and symbolism of these delicate creatures. She also found happiness in collecting miniature tea sets and spending quiet moments working on puzzles.
But if anyone ever asked Mary, "What is your most precious gift?" her answer was simple and unwavering: "My four boys."
Mary loved her boys with all her heart. They were her greatest treasure, her greatest joy, and a beautiful part of the legacy she leaves behind. Her love for them extended into the next generations, and she leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward.
Those who knew Mary will remember her not only as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, but as a woman whose laughter could fill a room, whose smile could brighten a day, and whose love for her family could never be measured.
Although our hearts ache because she is no longer here, we can find comfort in knowing that Mary is now at peace. Her earthly journey is complete, and she has returned home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
Now Mary is at peace, at home, and dancing in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Her smile may no longer be seen, and her laughter may no longer be heard in this world, but the love she gave will never leave us. She will live on in the hearts of her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Rest peacefully, MA. Your work here is done. You are loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten.
Mary is preceeded in death by her father Carl Burke Dennis Jr. and her mother Mary Louise Dennis (Prater).
