Her family moved to California when she was a young girl. She spoke of attending Wilson School and Chowchilla Union High School.
Norma married Ado Romeri in 1944. Their marriage of 55 years was blessed by five children. One of her greatest pleasures was being a homemaker. She loved to cook and bake. Her children and grandchildren knew exactly where to find wonderful homemade cookies in the "Cookie Jar" on her kitchen counter. Many great family meals were hosted by Norma and Ado. Her love of gardening was evident by her beautiful flowers that she gingerly cared for on a daily basis. She resided on the family farm, in the Dairyland area, for 77 years being supportive of the life on a dairy and family farming.
She was a servant of her Lord as a member of the St. Columba Catholic Church for 77 years and a faithful member of the Alter Society, where she held many offices throughout the years. She was always willing to prepare meals, work at church and the Alter Society.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Patricia Ann Strann, four sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by Johnny Romeri (Linda) of Chowchilla, Barbara Tipton (Roy) of Madera, Rose Barker of Madera, and Anthony Romeri (Sheila) of Chowchilla. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
