Born in Cove, Arkansas, he spent most of his life in Chowchilla, California, where he raised his family, before moving to Texas for the last three years of his life.
Norman was known for his fierce loyalty and his willingness to help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie and his wife Juanita.
He is survived by his children: Lisa Mytych of Jackson, Tennessee; Lori Snelling and her husband David of Jackson, Tennessee; and Keith Mitchell and his wife Stephanie of Mineola, Texas. He also leaves behind four grandchildren; Crystal Grooms, Brian Mytych, Megan Fister, and Jordan Mitchell; and three great-granddaughters, Paisley Fister, Makenzie Fister, and Ainsley Grooms.
Norman is also survived by his sister June Tadlock of Merced, California, and his brother Ray Mitchell of Surprise, Arizona.
A Funeral Services for Norman will be held at the Chowchilla Cemetery District on January 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
