Roberta Louise Schulz who was known to friends and family as Louise was born in Madera CA and grew up between Chowchilla and the Merced area. She was born Jan. 6,1942 and passed away on July 12,2024 at the age of 82 in Chowchilla CA. She will be laid to rest in the Chowchilla Cemetery next to her father and near other family members.
She spent her adult life raising 5 kids Venus, Marshall, Vickie, Penny and Jason in Orange County where she retired as Clerk of the Board of Orange Co. She later relocated back to Chowchilla to spend her later years near family.
Louise has 6 grandkids and 11 great grandkids. Her grandkids and great grandkids were always the joy of her life.
In-between raising kids and working Louise loved to sew. She would sew dresses for her girls when they were young and later in life, she sewed one-of-a-kind pajamas for her grand kids and great grand kids. She believed that no one should have to walk around wearing clothes that were too big or pants that were too long as long as she was around. She always volunteered to alter clothes to friends and family free. Her ability to change something that didn’t fit right into something new that fit perfectly was her special gift. Even though she new how to work a sewing machine 90% of her sewing was done by hand and was usually mistaken for being done on a machine.
Roberta Louise Schulz was loved by many and will be missed.
